The Beginning
25 Shirts & A Whole Lot of Belief
Every brand has a beginning. Ours wasn't clean or calculated. Collection 01 was just Daan, a handful of designs, 25 printed t-shirts, and a whole lot of belief that it would somehow work out. No team, no strategy, no playbook. Just the idea that if you make something and put it out there, people will show up.
They didn't. Not really.
Two sold. The rest sat there. And for a while, so did the motivation. It's easy to keep going when things are working. It's a lot harder when the silence sets in and you start wondering if the whole thing was just a bad idea.
But Collection 01 never felt like a failure. It felt like the beginning of something that hadn't figured itself out yet.
Why It Matters
The Stumble Before the Stride
We could have buried this collection. Skipped over it and started the story at a more comfortable point. But that wouldn't be honest, and honesty is kind of the whole point of Hatsek.
Collection 01 is the reason everything after it exists. It's the stumble before the stride. If you own a piece from this drop, you're not just wearing a t-shirt. You're wearing the moment Hatsek decided it wasn't done yet.
